How can you benefit?<\/h3>\n

To encourage carpooling, the French government has introduced a \u20ac100 carpooling bonus<\/strong> for drivers who start short-distance carpooling from January 1, 2023. This bonus is paid in two instalments: \u20ac25 after the first carpooling trip, then a further \u20ac75 after the 10th carpooling trip, provided that these trips are made within 3 months of the first trip. Journeys must be made within France and may not exceed 80 km. <\/p>\n

Family carpooling and bonus eligibility<\/h3>\n

Official documentation does not prohibit spouses from benefiting from the car-sharing bonus. So you can carpool with your spouse for your joint journeys and declare him or her as a passenger. The journey will still be eligible for the carpooling bonus. <\/p>\n
